The mission of the Early Head Start Program (EHS) is to promote healthy prenatal outcomes for pregnant women, enhance the development of very young children, and promote healthy family functioning.

Brazoria County serves 44 clients all year round at our Sweeny, Brazoria, Lake Jackson, and Freeport locations. The primary population for the EHS program in Brazoria County is pregant and parenting teenagers, with the primary goal of encouraging the teen to stay in school. Upon availability of slots, working or in-school (college) parents can also be served.

The hours for Early Head Start are 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
